SNAG takes pride in helping customers bring their custom embroidery ideas to life. Because embroidery is a handcrafted and highly customized process, we’ve outlined the following policies to ensure clear expectations and a smooth experience for everyone. If you have any questions before placing an order, please contact us — we’re always happy to help.
Order Minimums
For customized text from our online font offerings, there are no minimums.
Custom logo embroidery requires a 12-piece minimum per design.
This minimum applies to all custom logo upload production orders. We do not offer single-unit production orders outside of our sample process for custom logos.
Sample Policy
If you would like to see your logo embroidered on a physical hat before committing to a 12+ unit order, we offer a physical sample option.
Sample Cost
To create a physical sample, we require:
• $100 non-refundable deposit + $35 per additional location
• $29 blank hat + sew-out fee
• Shipping included
Total: $129
What the Sample Includes
• Your logo digitized for embroidery
• One physical embroidered hat
• Opportunity to evaluate size, placement, colors, and stitch style
What Happens Next
If you proceed with a 12+ unit order:
• The $100 deposit is credited (plus any additional setup locations) toward your production order
• The $29 hat fee is not credited
• The sample is in addition to the 12+pc, effectively at the $29 already paid.
If you do not move forward:
• The $129 (plus additional setup locations) is non-refundable
• This covers digitizing, labor, materials, setup, and production time
Proofing & Revisions
All custom logo orders receive a digital embroidery proof before production begins.
This proof represents:
• Final stitch layout
• Thread colors
• Sizing
• Stitch style
We recommend printing your proof at 100% scale if you have concerns about size. We include the actual size of your digitized logo, so all you need to do is hit print.
If you decide you'd like to see a physical sample after seeing the digital proof, please request an edit and let us know. This will incur a $29 physical sample fee + applicable shipping charges if you'd like to see it in person.
Revisions
You may request revisions to:
• Size
• Colors
• Minor design adjustments
Digital revisions are included at no additional cost.
Customer Responsibility for Proof Approval
Once a digital or physical proof is approved, SNAG is not responsible for any errors including but not limited to:
• Spelling
• Colors
• Sizing
• Placement
• Orientation
• Layout
It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review all details before approving production.
Production Start
Production does not begin until:
• Full payment is received
• Artwork is approved
• All order details are confirmed
Delays in approvals or missing information may delay your turnaround time.
Turnaround Times
Typical turnaround:
• Digital proof: 3–5 business days
• Production: Approximately 2 weeks after proof approval
If we do not receive proof approval within 14 days, the proof will be considered approved by default and production will begin.

Rush pricing is based on your required in-hand date, not ship date.

Normal Embroidery Variations
Embroidery is a physical process involving thread, fabric, and machinery. Minor variations are normal and are not considered defects.
This includes:
• Slight color variation between screens and real thread
• Stitch texture differences
• Placement tolerances
• Fabric interaction (corduroy, nylon, mesh, etc.)
• Density differences based on material
Design Compatibility
Not all logos are suitable for embroidery as-is.
Some designs may require:
• Simplification
• Line thickening
• Resizing
• Stitch adjustments
• Alternative decoration methods (patches, printing, etc.)
• Different hat styles or fabrics
Our team will always aim to preserve your design’s integrity while ensuring the best possible result.
Refunds, Cancellations & Returns
Because all embroidery is customized, the following policies apply.
Cancellations
• Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of placement and are subject to a 5% restocking fee
• After 24 hours, a $100 non-refundable fee applies
• Once production has started, orders cannot be canceled
Quality Guarantee
If there is an issue with embroidery quality, we will continue working with you until we reach an acceptable result.
If we are unable to produce something you are satisfied with:
• A $100 deduction will apply to cover time and materials
• The remaining balance will be refunded
Returns
Because custom embroidery is made-to-order:
• Custom items are non-returnable
• Custom fabric colors are non-returnable
• Custom tags are non-returnable
International Orders
All international orders include taxes and duties at checkout.
You will not owe additional taxes or duties during the customs import process.
Shipping & Delivery
SNAG is not responsible for shipping delays caused by:
• Carriers
• Weather
• Customs
• Acts of God
• Events outside our control
Once a package is marked as delivered, responsibility transfers to the customer.
Please ensure your shipping address is correct.
Abandoned Orders
Orders that remain unapproved, unclaimed, or unresponsive for more than 30 days may be considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of.
Copyright & Artwork Rights
By submitting artwork, you confirm that:
• You own or have legal rights to reproduce the design
• SNAG is not responsible for copyright disputes
• Any legal claims will be directed to you
Illegal use of copyrighted content may result in penalties.
FAQs
Can I mix and match different hat styles?
Yes, as long as the same logo is used. Volume discounts on mix-and-match styles do not apply automatically online — please contact us for a custom invoice.
Can my logo be made into a patch?
Yes. Patches are available on 25+ units for an additional charge.
Do you charge setup fees?
No. Digitizing and setup are included in our pricing. Reorders are not discounted.
Can I order just one hat?
Custom logo embroidery requires a 12-piece minimum. Physical samples are available using the sample process.
Do you offer printing on caps?
We offer vinyl transfer printing for blocked logos. We do not offer screen printing on caps.
