2016
The Hustle
Late 2016, Founder Scott Abbey began selling his hat finds via Instagram as Scotty Vintage. Thousands of hats later, his love for vintage snapbacks became an obsession.
2019
The Inception
SNAG was born-

2020
The Leap
COVID hit, leaving Scott without a job and pushing him to pursue his love for snapbacks.
He learned from the best- Denver-based Impressions Headwear owner Don Morgan. A pioneer in the pinched front 90s Ropers and an inspiration to growing SNAG.
Since then, SNAG has grown to a team of 10- moving from a small basement to a warehouse right in the heart of the RiNo Arts District in Downtown Denver.
A quick word
I always loved searching for vintage clothing at thrift stores growing up, but it wasn’t until after a while that I realized within these random assortments of clothes, hats, shoes, and smelly rags were some hidden fortunes.
After years of collecting and reselling, I found myself without a job and my bank account diminishing quickly. I decided to take a leap and build my own online storefront for friends, family, and folks on the internet who shared my love for hats. A wide variety, one-stop shop for all things headwear.
Over the next couple of years, I learned the art of embroidery and quickly fell in love. Since then, we've grown from a one-man show with a small domestic sewing machine to a team of 10 with a full line-up of commercial embroidery machines and printing equipment.
Today, we operate in a large creative warehouse right in the heart of downtown Denver. And we're just getting started.
